Torii Wins at the Archiproducts Design Award 2020

Minotti wins the Archiproducts Design Awards 2020 in the Furniture category with the Torii sofa, designed for the 2020 Collection by Japanese designer Oki Sato, head of the Nendo design studio.

A sofa that seems to float, characterised by thin profiles, compact dimensions and couture-like details, drawing inspiration from Japanese tradition for the structural details of the metal frame, an obvious reference to the “torii”, the entrance gate to Shinto shrines in Japan. The backrest can be high or low and is enhanced by vertical quilting and piping that runs along the perimeter of the cushioning, underlining the elegant, couture-like quality of the craftsmanship. Enriched by a marble surface, harmoniously integrated into the length of the base, the Torii sofa is part of an extremely wide range, also offering armchairs, lounge and dining little armchairs and ottomans, in addition to coffee tables and consoles.

The prestigious award pays tribute to the creativity and quality of Minotti, and to the brand’s synergic collaboration with Oki Sato and the Japanese studio.
