Bézier
Far beyond the concept of a traditional sofa, the Bézier system is defined by a series of organic, infinitely combinable seating elements, allowing for endlessly adaptable configurations.
Designed by Studio MK27, whose founder Marcio Kogan has made the precision of his lines into a distinctive hallmark, Bézier explores and reinterprets a novel and striking compositional language. It is developed through irregular volumes and fluid forms that shape and embrace both the space and those who inhabit it. The entire universe is made of curves, says Kogan quoting the master Oscar Niemeyer.
And the curves of the Bézier system are enhanced by its exceptionally comfortable seat, achieved through the precise layering of high-density polyurethane in varying thicknesses, ensuring uniform comfort across the entire surface. Given the organic shapes, the tailoring of the seams is extremely accurate, perfectly following the curves of each element. Furthermore, located all along the backrest, a lumbar cushion provides greater relaxation while also serving as a decorative element.
The Bézier system is a tribute to the fusion of mathematics and art, inspired by the legacy of Pierre Bézier, whose famous parametric curve, often used in computer graphics, celebrates the precision and fluidity of organic shapes. Highly versatile, with its generous forms that stretch to become islands, it creates new ways to experience the living space, not only in home environments, but also in Hospitality settings. It is an innovative approach to the sofa, transforming it from a mere object into a place of meeting and gathering.
As is characteristic of the DNA of Studio MK27, the Bézier collection pays tribute to Brazilian modernism and celebrates the freedom of the curve as a solution inspired by nature: emotion and functionality in perfect balance.
