The passionate research that Minotti has been performing for years is also reflected in its exclusive Textile and Leather Collection, a vast selection of over 100 fabrics, leathers and saddle-hides, all 100% Made in Italy, to style both its indoor and its outdoor furniture proposals with character.

Every year, for over two decades, the launch of the new collection provides an opportunity to create special coverings for the new designs, which are then exclusively crafted for the brand by specialists. Coordinated by Alessio Minotti, Research and Development Manager, together with Minotti Studio, the company’s in-house creative department, the Textile and Leather Collection proposes combinations of textures, patterns and shades carefully chosen to underline the designs and aesthetics of the furniture, enhancing the uniqueness and the sartorial craftsmanship of each piece, as well as representing the mood of the collection as a whole.

The focus for 2020 is on the aesthetic and design continuity between in and out. This is achieved by welcoming the design appeal of panama and pixel-look structures, embracing contemporary style with mélange and bouclé effects and favouring the decorative charm of geometric herringbone and checked patterns, matelassé and twill effects and floral designs.

For the indoor range, it’s all about uniqueness, thanks to the development of fabric structures with distinctive artisan weaving methods and textiles characterised by a wide variety of compositions, designed to furnish different interiors in a range of international settings.

These are joined by a large selection of leathers, featuring sophisticated colours and a unique level of softness, enhanced by personalised tanning processes and finishes geared to meet the highest quality standards.

For the open-air living spaces, Minotti’s research has produced results that continue to amaze, in terms of both look and feel, and quality and performance characteristics, such as lightfastness and resistance to the weather, which classify the textiles as “Performance Fabrics”.

All the Minotti fabrics, leathers and saddle-hides are proposed in a wide chromatic range that is constantly updated, consisting of over 1200 shades: neutral nuances – including white, gesso, ecru, rope, mocha, sand – sit alongside bright, vibrant tones – such as silver and titanium – and trendy shades – like rust, mint and ocean.

In addition to evoking nature in their colour palette, the coverings in the collection are designed in perfect harmony with the environment, thanks to the choice of natural fibres, fully recyclable polypropylene yarns, leathers coloured using natural aniline dyes, and the use of textile treatments that respect man and our precious ecosystem.
